There's a Mouse in MY HOUSE!

Ahhh suburbia, we dream of living here. Along with the lovely yards and picturesque neighborhoods comes rodents! Rodents of every type! Squirrels, chipmunks, mice, bats, you name it - we have it here in Chelmsford. Now as I am enjoying a quiet day off reading the Sunday paper and drinking my coffee I see my two cats scurry across the floor. They cornered a mouse who in turn outsmarted them and is now loose in my house! It freaks me out - totally. I don't like creatures that belong outside living with me for the winter. I don't like the thought of the cats bringing me a present in the middle of the night, I certainly don' t relish the thought of a mouse jumping out at me and giving me a heart attack. What's a girl to do? Any thoughts - please help.

We had an ongoing mouse problem. We could trap and kill them, but it turns out there's an infinite supply of mice. And they smell pretty awful when they die inside the walls.

Eventually I went around the perimeter of the house stuffing steel wool into every teeny tiny crevice, no matter how small, so no more mice could come in.

I suppose ever since they've been looking for some other warm home to winter in.

I still have bags of extra steel wool if you'd like some. :)
